Nurturing Your Interests...

Nurturing Your Interests...

Do you take time to nurture your personal interests?

I have spent the past several months constantly saying to the people around me that I was jealous of the time that they were spending reading for enjoyment.

I had been spending time reading but my reading list consisted of enlightenment, education, business, or fitness and nutrition.

I wanted to read some of the fiction that I have collecting dust on my shelves, but I felt that I didn't have the time or that I would feel guilty spending time reading those books when I had so many other important things to do. I mean, seriously, I am Writing Books! Who has time to read any???

I am proud to say that I have given myself a little measure of grace and I have allowed myself some guilt-free reading time each day. I have completed one book already and I am almost a third of the way through a thick Stephen King novel.

It is ok to be very busy. It is also ok to have personal interests and hobbies. There should be a balance so that you reduce the risk of burn out.

Besides, what is the point in having regrets? If there is something that you enjoy doing, do it! You don't want to make it to the end wishing that you could have had more fun...

As always, your mileage may vary...

Much Love,

~Lady Misty
